Note that this size is predominantly intended for use in gel blasters (toys that shoot water beads). They enlarge to 7 – 8mm in diameter, which is the size most commonly used by gel blasters. If you are using these with a gel blaster, please double check to ensure you are ordering the correct size.
These balls are commonly referred to as Orbeez but go by many names such as magic balls, water beads and crystal balls. They come in a variety of colours and only require water to enlarge many times their original size.
Orbeez can be used by young children over the age of 5 years (no younger due to the choking hazard posed). They are commonly used in water pellet guns, but can also be used for decorative purposes or playtime in the bath. They are biodegradable (and can even be used as a method of releasing water slowly in plant pots). They are non-toxic and non-flammable, making them safe for you and your family!
What size do the large size water beads enlarge into?
The small size will grow to around 7-8mm in diameter, after being left in water for 4 to 6 hours.

How are they made?

All you need to do is add roughly 240ml of warm water (warm water will result in the water beads growing at a faster rate) for every 100 or so of the balls. Then wait at least 5 hours and they will have grown to their full size!
Safety notes:
Not for children under the age of 5 years old. This product is a choking hazard for young children!
The balls should be disposed of in the garden (where they will biodegrade over time, or put them into the trash). Do not put them down the drain as this may cause a blockage.
