OneStep® Ovulation (LH) Test Strips are FDA cleared and CE approved.  We have three different test sensitivities available (20 mIU, 30 mIU, and 40 mIU) so you can choose the best option for yourself.

20 mIU/mL sensitivity:

These are the most sensitive tests available and should only be used by women who know that their LH levels are lower than they should be.

30 mIU/mL sensitivity:

These are most likely going to be suitable for the average woman. If you think your LH levels are normal then choose these. We recommend this test sensitivity.

40 mIU/mL sensitivity:

These are the least sensitive tests available and are also suited for the average woman.

Test strip specifications:

  • Test strip width: 3.5mm
  • FDA and CE approved
  • OneStep® tests are used by the NHS (National Health Service in the UK)

Directions for use:

  • Make sure you do not open the package until you are ready to begin the test.
  • You should test your urine at the same time every day to get consistent results.
  • You should not test with urine from early morning (it is better to test from 10am onwards).
  • Do not drink too much two hours prior to performing the test, as doing so could dilute the sample and not show when you have a LH surge.
  • Your urine sample and the test strip should be at room temperature when performing the test.
  1. Collect the urine sample in a clear container.
  2. Open the pouch and remove the test strip. Discard the included sachet of desiccant as it has no use now.
  3. Whilst holding the test strip pointing downwards, place the strip into the urine sample for 10 seconds, making sure not to go past the MAX line.
  4. Remove the test strip from the urine sample and lay it on a clean, dry, flat surface.
  5. Wait for the results to show. Positive results may be observed as early as one minute after removal from the urine sample. However, to confirm a negative result, you should wait for the full 10 minutes. Do NOT read the results after 30 minutes.

How to read the results:

Positive for LH surge: If two colour bands are visible, and the test band is equal to or darker than the control band, you will probably ovulate within the next 24-48 hours. If you are trying to get pregnant, you should have intercourse frequently over the next 48 hours.

Negative for LH surge: Only one colour band appears on the control region, or the test band appears but is lighter than the control band. This means there is no LH surge. You should continue daily testing.

Failed test: The control line has not appeared after 5 minutes. You should repeat the test with a new unit.
